Premium Pet Illustrations by Tamberwolf are original pieces of real artwork, hand-rendered in digital media by an experienced character artist.
Tamberwolf pet illustrations are custom-made with an emphasis on character and emotion. Jude uses an array of photos and stories to get to know each animal they draw, from the inside out. Each portrait is vibrant and energetic, with skillfully drawn poses and facial expressions.

FAQs
Do I need to submit a reference photo?
Yes! Your illustrator will walk you through this process via email, after you submit your order. We request 3-5 photos of each pet to be drawn, which helps your illustrator understand their form and markings from multiple angles. We can create a pose from one favorite photo if you prefer – typically though, pet parents enjoy when we create an original pose based on the pet’s story and personality!
I’m ordering an illustration with more than one animal. Do I have to submit reference images of them posed together?
Nope! Your illustrator can pose animals together, even if they’re not photographed in the same image.
How long is the turnaround?
You will be added to our commission queue after submitting full payment and reference images. From there, we aim to deliver finished artwork within 2-5 months. Upon being added to the queue, you’ll receive a link to our project board, which allows you to track the status of your order and check your place in line at any time. Be sure to let us know if there’s a date by which you’d like to have your artwork in hand — we will do our best to accommodate. If you’re ordering within our holiday submission window, your artwork is guaranteed to deliver in time for the winter holiday you celebrate.
How is the art made?
All illustrations by Tamberwolf Studios are hand-drawn using digital illustration software (typically, iPad Pro and Apple Pencil in Procreate). We draw directly on a graphics tablet — sketches, lines, colors and shading are all carefully designed and chosen by the artist. We never use generative AI to render images; our artwork is made WITH computers, not BY computers.
How does payment work?
Full payment is due up front to reserve a spot in our queue. You will be invoiced for the full value of your order, including any added printing services and shipping from our studio. We accept payment via Venmo and PayPal (payments made via PayPal are subject to a processing fee of 3.49% + $0.49 USD). If you’re in need of a payment plan, please ask us!
Do you work on sliding scale?
While we cannot offer sliding scale at this time, we are happy to discuss a custom payment plan if it will make the artwork more accessible for you. Some commissioners benefit from splitting their payment so half is due up front, with the second half due prior to delivery.
